Sam Mendes is truly at the top of his game. And the direction of Kate Winslet, his wife, as well as Leonardo DiCaprio was astonishing.
I thought the theater had time warped back into 1955 and I was watching the agony of suburban America. Absolutely perfect sets, dialog, script,
everything. My GF that works in continuity in the films here in NM, and is extremely critical and observant, found nothing to complain about with
this one.
Based on the 1961 novel by Richard Yates; another very adult film dealing with adult issues; nudity and strong sexual content but in perfect context
with the film.
Don't miss this one if you appreciate great acting and film making.
