Why are people so dumbfounded on the differenaces between economic and political systems

Why do so many people compare Socialism and Capitalism there are no where near the same.

One is a Political system while the other is an Economic system; you have states that are both and everything works out fine for there. Why do people make these absurd comments on how they think one type of system is without looking at research to get an logical and educated info on or about the different political and economic systems.

Why not just add to the thread you already started on the same subject?

Perhaps you could add some details or interesting content. Maybe add your own views on the topic and examples of why you think those states work better than others. Blanket statements without any opinion don't offer much incentive to become engaged in the conversation.

Because there were no responses and I just found the Political Ideology section which i think would be a better fit for the topic
