Traveler treading in darkness,
fire-toothed hounds at your heel
Fighting the specters that haunt you,
breaking the chains of your wheel
Cleansing your face in the water,
wilderness closes you in
Safe in the hollow, wearying now,
the only blaze burning within
There in the gloom with your secrets,
pulling at threads of your tale
A garment that's tattered and worn,
colors once vivid grown pale
Gnarled, barren fingers of trees,
around you claw at the moon
Flying by ravens, a lullaby croak,
a spell bringing you to a swoon

Restless and trembling Sleeper,
sleep in the gray, crawling mist
Crying in feathery whispers,
caught like the blood in your fist
Lie under leaves for your blanket,
damp earth under you for your bed
Phantasmal tides eddy and twist,
whirling, they pool in your head
Lucidly floating now, Dreamer,
dream of the crumbling shrine
Where prayers were broken by curses,
the gardens watered with brine
Vines choking throats of corridors,
sharp, dirty tears of glass eyes
Piercing the dome, fallen spire,
an altar exposed to the sky

Come to your work, tired Pilgrim,
pray in the shadows, come clean
Count the worn beads with your fingers,
uncoiling the light, serpentine
Light fires in braziers of brass,
bathe in the sweet smelling smoke
Mend the frayed seams of your garment,
repair to the wheel every spoke
The temple resides there within you,
from here your true journey will start
Therein return you to splendor,
build peace in the walls of your heart
Soon to your midst comes the goddess,
whose house you steadfastly grew
Fall to her feet then and kiss them,
for they what carried her to you

Wake from your slumber now, Seeker,
need no more to travel by night
The bells of the tower now chime,
their peals come to carry the light
Over horizon is spilling,
the joy that returns to the earth
The sun from the void comes rising,
the vision manifested to birth
There by your side lies a wonder,
her body quiet and calm
With her your wounds find redemption,
her love your soul's soothing balm
Look to the sky and be thankful,
live now to praise what you make
Circling now, spiral eagles,
dancing through life's give and take

Still unsure what this poem is about , but it is written beautifully. The older I get ( only 24 now ) the more I appreciate lyrics and poetry.

This will take me a few more reads to try and decipher what is actually being talked about but good job anyways.
