Good.

Because this is what it will take for real change, not chump change.

The only thing Civil War would do is get the states that seceded to be attacked, invaded and occupied under martial law.

No revolution or civil war would ever succeed without strong leadership and unity from the opposition. The CSA had neither. These current states have even less leadership and unity than the CSA.

The CSA had General Lee and he was one of the best.
But the only thing they lacked was resources.
If you think about it, the CSA never really surrendered.
But yea war in the states ineviable.

How is a state declaration going to change anything ?

Did the Federal Reserve stop printing money after Oklahoma made its declaration last yr ?

Did Congress listen to the american people and vote down the bailout bill ?

Folks we are looking at an open takeover of the goverment by the elite banking families. And no declaration, no polls, no blogs, no petitions, etc are going to stop them.

It will take a massive movement by the people to stop the takeover. Our one advantage is sheer numbers. We only need to do one thing...

stop cooperating with the system. Shut down the system by not going to work, not paying taxes, and never ever ever ever let anyone you know join the military. If everyone did this, the system would shut down.

Personally I dont think enough people out there believe or are willing to do whats necessary to take back our nation. And the people on this site are deluding themselves if they think a poll, or Ron Paul is going to be enough to save us

Since when does a "Bill of Succession" translate into a "Declaration of War"?
War is not initiated by a succeeding State.

I also want to make the point that the Federal Government exists to serve as a Agent acting on the behalf of the common interest of these United States. It is a Federation, and the Federal Government, as the acting Agent of the states in Federation, is accountable to the States, as each States, is accountable to their citizen populations. The States, through their Representatives in Congress serve to act as the intermediary between each State's citizen population and the Acting Agent called the Federal Government" ...
The United States is a Federation of sovereign States, with each State, electing and appointing delegates to Congress to represent the voice and interest of that State in all General affairs of Federation.
You want to know why the Federal Government has so much power when it was supposed to be an Agent of power, and not the source of power? Because our State's do not hold our Representatives in Congress accountable and Congress does not keep the Executive branch in check from amassing more power. Since when does our Republic have the right to exist as government from the top-down and not from the ground-up when government derives its just rights from the consent of the governend? It doesn't. It exists as a perversion of the grand ideal our founders once had in mind for it.

Robert E. Lee was a great general but he was only commander of the Army of Virginia.

Had the CSA been a strong federal union, with Lee as the General of the Armies of the CSA, the South would of clearly won. Anyone hoping to have a sucessful revolt needs strong central leadership and unity to achieve victory.

Balance is the key here. People who want complete State Sovereignty are just as nuts as those who want to do away with States Rights. Let either side get complete control and we will be in deep trouble.

We need that balance of States Rights VS Federal to keep a controllable balance. Imagine if the Southern States had complete State Sovereignty throughout the 20th Century. Our South would be just like South Africa was.

This talk of Succeeding from the Union is insane talk from the intellectually challenged who are upset because the Fed's stopped them from dumping toxic waste down their storm drains or some such nonsense.

We have a great system. What we need is new Leaders. The States are just as bad as the Fed's. Look at California's Government. You want them free to do whatever they want?

The only reason the State Governments are passing these Resolutions is that they have no meaning and it shuts up the people who keep hounding them and perhaps gets them a few votes. I'm sure when they are handed out in the halls of Congress they get a good laugh while joking on the phone with the people who signed them.

Whaaa,

The way the finances of US are now, they give what they don't have.

Even a State can print monnie or send IOU's it is somehow the same.

It is not only a US issue, everywhere around the globe, so-called democracies use war on terror and everything to justifiy decreases in civil rights.

Leaders saw the meltdown of economies coming, they lied to theirs populations telling, not far as a year ago, Everything is OK.

All around the globe I saw governments get elected earlier, called elections before dates in order to grab full power. Lying all the way on the real economic situation.

NOT A SINGLE ELECT GOVERNMENT DARE TO RESIGN FOR MISMANAGEMENT OF THE CRISIS.

Worst, They keep on lying, Fundind friends with everybody's money, and restricting people's rights.

Now they say; we didn't see it coming, we must bail-out banks, we are the guides that will find THE solutions and the way out of the crisis....by appointing often the sames folks that created the mess at the first place.

I look at the news on my TV screen, and I fell like an East-German in the Soviet Era.

Like those movie critics.

New Hampshire - 2 thumbs up.

GREAT idea!

You know how Obama got elected? He did it by uniting people towards a goal. To change our government we must collectively do the same, not threaten to secede from the union. We as Americans must stand united against our government and say "STOP ROBING OUR TREASURY!"

letter writing, phone calls, emails, YouTube videos. A collective effort on the part of the majority of Americans that voted for change and are seeing more and more of the same. We the people hold the power, We the people are the United States, it's damn time for us to remember that.

some things are worth fighting for, and you mean he united 53% of the US and all the socialist/communist in the world because he is cut from the same cloth. You do that phone call, letter writing, you tube and see how far it gets you. No matter what you think, half of this nation feels the other way

I want RP to be president also and I'm a southerner from Northern Virginia (Lee was cic of the army of Northern Virginia). So far the south doesn't seem to be rising, it appears to be other states, last time I check NH, OK, MO, and WA are not in the south.

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with you on this. The Federal System can not be fixed in its current form as big business runs the Federal system now. We could take absolutely everyone out of office today and randomly pick people in every state (like a jury) and place them in Congress to represent us all, and big business would be all over them within a matter of days. You figure out a way to completely remove business from government and you'll have a good start, but as it stands today, the people in Congress (most of them anyway) are nothing more than talking heads for our Corporate overlords.

The answer is to remove power from the federal government and never let them have an ounce of power more than what the Constitution specifically limits them to. Our individual State Constitutions can handle the needs of the people in individual States. Does that mean that all States must be the same? No. Does that mean that all States even OUGHT to be the same? No. I'm sure you could try, but I would figure it would be rather difficult merging the needs and desires of Idaho and Florida. They are different places, with different people, with different ways of life. That's the way it ought to be. If someone doesn't like the way their particular State is doing things, they can always relocate to one that they do agree with. That's the way it ought to be.

I support sovereignty of States. I support people telling the federal government that they will no longer be allowed to operate outside of the US Constitution. If I have to choose between standing on the side of the Founding Fathers, or on the side of the politicians we have today taking away our rights and liberties, I'll stand with the Founding Fathers. They knew that limiting government was the only way to be free. Our government is so far gone now, it'd take a complete collapse to restore it to its former glory. I honestly hope that day is coming soon. Returning to the Constitution is the only way forward that gives us our liberties and freedoms back because most of the powers do not exist in the federal government's hands.

so you are saying Columbus is Red? because that color represents the beacon of hope. that blue smudge that makes up other states and sadly where I live in Northern Virginia means the opposite of what this country was founded on. If you don't believe me look at the history books then look at what the donothingcrats in congress are trying to do, especially with that new stimulus package they cobbled together. Like I say there are countries that have the same values as the people in the Blue areas. They are called Canada, China, Russia, England, France, Spain. I'm sure they would be more then willing to have anybody who feels the way they do.

I'm up here in Washington State and I've been actively calling my representatives and senators regarding this legislation and I've been told it went to committee to be reviewed first, so I got their numbers and called them. They are actively pursuing this legislation. It seems that the folks from New Hampshire got in contact with my State officials and suggested strongly that they pass similar legislation. Everyone I talked to in my state government was looking to support this legislation. It appears that they want this completed soon.

Sadly you are right about most of what you are saying. What these bills do (if passed) is put a framework in place to stand behind and mobilize. Congress doesn't care about anything other then getting paid. It doesn't matter if they are red or blue they care about the mean green. To change members of congress need to be replaced and the lobbist removed. The idea that one can get elected to congress and then all the sudden become rich is BS.

Call me a cynic but these bills, while symbolic, will result in no sort of uprising, mass movement towards change, or anything that would require an American to get off his/her ass and exert his/herself. Let's not act like the catalysts for one of the above haven't been around for decades and all the while no one has done anything but complain to their neighbors (or whatever) and (these days) post on a forum or on their blog. (On that note, can I make the argument that the Internet has overtaken television as the great pacifier?)

53% of our voting population believed Obama would bring real change while the other 47% of the VAP believed McCain was the guy for the job. These people bought whatever their MSM (be it FoxNews, MSNBC, or NPR) was selling.

Simply put: nothing is going to happen, nothing will ever happen, nothing will get better so long as American's continue to drink the Kool-Aid and Dancing With the Stars and TMZ is on the air.

(Please note that while not all of those who voted for Obama/McCain are slaves to the MSM, when a viable 3rd party candidate is on the ballot (Baldwin) or a major party candidate speaking the truth could have been on the ballot (Paul) and the only options in the end maintain the status quo, what other conclusion can one reach?)

Omg I just had to reply to this post, you have just said what I have been trying to convey to everyone I know it's just I have a hard time with it cause there are truly too many people out there that don't know anything except to be puppets of a popular consensous. I've always felt that what ever the masses are behind is exactly what we should be against because people in mass are sheep. Everyone is mimicking the media and whatever is "pc".

I've always found it funny that people have been led to believe that programs like conservative talk radio are the biased "truth" spinners and if you want the real truth to turn to "other" programs which just so happen to be the ones feeding you all the bs and lies. You want truth, you want freedom of speech, you want to know just wtf is really going on, turn on some conservative talk radio and pull your head out of your butt because conservatives are our last true patriots, they are our last line of defense if we want to keep our freedoms. There is a reason the democrats are trying to push this "fairness doctrin" on talk radio to basically silence opposition, that should tell you something, reminds me of Hitler Germany. All this big government and high taxing bent on spreading our money and making us all equally poor and reliant is what the liberals dems our going to do to us.

And it is the joke of the century that the most vocal people about stickin it to "the man" are the same people that vote for these socialist cronies, essentially VOTING "the man" in.
They really got these people hook line and sinker, and they are everywhere defending these types, like mindless armies set out to crush opposing views, freedom of speech is never a friend to a socialist movement. Obama was just about the worst thing that could happen to this country since its inception.
