Officers Injured in Shootout at New Mexico Home Facing Foreclosure

Two police officers were injured during a shootout as they tried to serve an eviction notice at a New Mexico home facing foreclosure, according to the Alamogordo Daily News.

Is this a single incident or the beginning of a trend? People WILL start fighting back eventually and it would appear the time had come for these people.

I have been through that area, and it is pretty crummy area. There is a lot of poverty, and a lot of drug and gang problems going on. Not to mention the smuggle of illegal aliens. There is a Border Patroll check point before Alamagordo to the south, so if you can get drugs into that town you took quite a risk. I think this is sad that people are being evicted, but if they didn't pay their mortgage who can they blame?
