i have often wondered if there are any facilities like a modern day ark where people would be selected by (corrupt) goverment officials to survive in a bunker of somekind built either underground or in space any feedback or locations would be gratefull

Why does the government always have to be corrupt?

I would bet my life on it. Research "Alternative Two & Three". There are allegedly many "secret" underground bases all over the US. I ran across a website about a year ago that had these supposed locations. I am sure a simple google search will get results.

Unfortunately the average Joe Sixpack will be left out in the rain.

They already have so called "Doomsday" valts for crops.

Well there are a number of seed stores around the world and I think it would be nessiscary.

You can't save everybody (in event of natural disasters), just the leaders and maybe with enough warning, the smart people, or possibly athletes as well as they are strong and healthy people.
