Before Obama boards the train in Philadelphia later today, he gave an pretty impressive, but brief, speech.

It is loading very slowly, so you might want to let it load while you're doing something else.

What is required is a new declaration of independence, not just in our nation, but in our own lives - from ideology and small thinking, prejudice and bigotry - an appeal not to our easy instincts but to our better angels.


that first sentence was on the prompter on fox news, and all I kept thinking was WHAT? a new declaration of independence? but It might have been more figurative.

This is breaking news! oh wait, nvm, just another speech.
He does have a way with words.

i expect to be in that crowd of people here in baltimore.
i don't mind braving the cold to see our president elect.
i welcome the change of administrations and want to witness history because i won't be in DC on tuesday.
