There was no possible chance of gainful employment at home for Tommy, so he looked into the Halliburton contract to drive trucks in Iraq to save his
family. And you know the rest of the story.
Add it up.
Economy + Healthcare system + Overwhelming Debt + Iraq War + Halliburton = Tommy Hamill hostage and probably dead and mutilated.
This guy is the poster child for how much it sucks to be a poor southerner with Bush in the White House.

Tommy made a choice to go to Iraq and work, Just a few hours down the road from where he lives is Atlanta with an unemployment rate of 3.9%, the state
average is 3.8%, these are february numbers. There are hundreds of unfilled positions for truck drivers in the want ads and online. Tommy did however
make a choice for a higher wage paid in the warzone.
Subsidized corporate dairy farming pushed small operators out of the market, policies well supported by both parties led to this, not 9/11 as RANT
would have you believe. The article states declining prices and rising feed costs as the reason.
If the Clinton or Bush adminstration had reformed tax policy and law most people could afford their own health policy. The Dems want to control your
vote with universal, The Republicans are lobbied by big insurance not to reform. No where does the article state they had no insurance, I'm sure out
of pocket cost were high.
What really, really ticks me off is to see the far left politicize this situation before its even resolved or anything is known - they will grasp at
any straw in their hatred for Bush - nothing is out of bounds for these @$$&*@#'s, nothing
