This board has some great info, but you have to dig deep.
Just like a real mine, there are nuggets of beautiful knowledge, but you have to trawl through the dirt, dust and soot before you get there. Get used to it.

You are not obliged to read every post. That's what the "My ATS" button is for.

We are a community, so the best thing we can do is not get drawn into these silly arguments. Do I care about the Gaza conflict? Yes, it's a tragedy. But if I want to do something to help the people there I'll send some money to a charity or raise awareness at work/to friends/in the street. Getting into some silly flame-war on ATS is not going to help anyone.

Most of the "big-threads" on the main page just end up distracting us from the real cool stuff happening here. If you want Political debate go to forum.prisonplanet.com, but be warned- the people there are clued up. You won't get away with ignorance and blatant trolling.

That's what I was thinking. How can you start a thread about how you hate people who start threads about things they don't like. Kinda how you started a thread about things you don't like.
