Thousands of shoes tie up Miami freeway traffic

news.yahoo.com

MIAMI – State troopers are looking for a charity to take thousands of shoes that were dumped on a Miami expressway, tying up rush hour traffic. Lt. Pat Santangelo says the Florida Highway Patrol received a call about the shoes Friday morning.

Santangelo says he's not sure where the shoes came from. There were no signs of a crash and no one stopped to claim them. He says he hopes someone will take them because he doesn't want to send them to the dump.

I have heard of raining frogs, fish, and blood. Shoes on the other hand I've never heard of. No one so far witnessed anything. The source is simply unknown at this time.

If no one is found to be responsible this will definitely be a new chapter in the quirky anomalous phenomena known as Forteana.

Y'know... the shoe throwing thing.

there IS a current commercial running that has a theme of.......
~A Sudden Downpour Of Shoes~
Woman get out of their cars and start gathering shoes.......

How VERY WEIRD that this seems like it can actually happen.

Here in Utah I will hope for a sudden downpour of snow boots.

That idea did enter my mind. What would be really bizarre is if there were no people involved in the shoe protest. Who's doing the shoe throwing or raining?

Even more bizarre if the authorities found out all of the shoes belonged to missing people. Thousands of missing people.

Cue twilight zone music.

My thoughts are similar to yours!
I thought the Postman must have lost a load of shoes....on route to Goerge Bush.

Props to donating the shoes.

That's a weird situation, but nice to see they're trying to do the right thing.
