It is really simple. Just think of it.

Considering the fact that majority of the members are from north america, Ill base my opinion on that.

Back to the point.

The world cannot end on (for example)12/12/2012 for the US, because, by the time the sun rises, it would have been 13/12/2012 here in Asia and Australia.

Think of it, it is really logical.

Expecting your comment on this thought, which came through from my mind after a day full of thinking for jokes, but ended up with this.

Well considering the Mayans were in South America in the Yucatan Peninsula, then 2012 would be right on the mark for the North and South America region. So 2012 for the Mayans is 2012 for us. What happens to Asia doesn't matter does it?

2012 may just start with us and make it's way around the globe. Personally I don't think it will happen but that's just me.

Even I am not believing in 2012, I am just quoting it as an example.

The mayans have said that the 'world' will be destroyed, so Asis matters.

Many are precise on the date 12th of december, so, by the time, it is 12 in america, it will be 13 for me India, and the world did not end on 12th for me.

The world will not end. If anything ends it will be humanity and that could be a good thing for the planet.

I was just joking about the time zones.

Didnt you get that, if I was serious regarding this, then I should have posted it at ATS.

It depends on the type of event, and how long that event will take to transpire worldwide.
No one ever said it would happen instantly worldwide.
It could start at dawn Greenwich time, and take a full 24 hours to finish.

Oh my god! I was making a joke of that, and no serious discussion at all.

Just see the fun part, leave the serious part.

Just stating the obvious.

Ok, just for the obvious, even if the end of the world started at date 1 at 00:00 hours GMT, it is 12:00 hours in Australia and some forward time in different countries in asia, and by the time date 1, 23:59 hours GMT comes, it is date 2 in Asia

If you're not serious then why the post? You wanted our comments and we gave them to you. You asked if this was even logical? Ok, on a non serious thought, " 2012 is just a date and that's that. Nobody knows for sure what will happen so it's a theory like any other theory that hasn't been proven until the time comes and goes.
