The web Bot says that they are both wrong.

It also says that this wrong will be a repeating cycle.

Who could have imagined that a web bot could be so correct in what it says?

Neither side is right, because neither side sees the human on the other side of the table.

yellowcard, please dont paste such simplistic one line replies unless you have read a few books on the subject and know anything about the living conditions and true ideologies of both groups.

"the answer is simple both are wrong !! " ... its easy to say that against any groups fighting in the world ONLY when you know nothing about the facts of the conflict ! NO both are not wrong .. you assume both decide to fight in the same moment and for no reasons or what ? you should study the conflict and how it started and whats really going on on the land FOR REAL not as u see on you little tv screen .. if you say both are fighting then both are wrong then you also have to say both Germany and Britain was wrong during the WWII because BOTH was fighting so Britain was blamed just like Germany etc .. if you want to learn more about that conflict try to watch some documentaries like video.google.com...q=occupation+ OR
video.google.com... q=peace+proboganda+and+the+promiced+land
thanks

Seems simply, yet, humans of modern day civilizations seem have not grasped this concept and continue to kill each other over what, land, oil, and power. Are we truly more civilized?

Everybody onece in their lives had to admit fault and say sorry, its not easy, but the feeling afterwards is liberating and lifts the soul.

So, both sides of this conflict simply has to say SORRY. It would be the first step to resolving this conflict.

If we watch it objectively taking all the facts of this war, since a long time ago Israel has said that the land palestinians have belongs to Israel because it was so writen by God. Thus USA has always supported Israel actions politicaly and with weapons it makes Israel people feel they can do anything they want cause they have the help from the most powerful country in the world.
Added to those facts recently it was discovered gas in the Coasts of Gaza, what a shame! Israel people how pathetic they are... I know that they both attack each other and they both kill innocent people but Israel has shown us how miserable they are attacking consciusly schools and hospitals, even they attacked with a tank a house of an israeli doctor and killed all his family children and wife and it was compleately intentional because they saw the doctor pleading for not to attack his house... those are the facts. Israel are a bunch of cowards, they would never attack Gaza if it were a country at least like North Korea. I'm against any war whatever it could be the reason that caused it and United Nation Organization has shown us its voice mean less than nothing for powerful countries when there are dark interests behind the actions the promote. Right now is needed country blocks that really could preserve peace in the whole world.

They are both guilty of murdering innocent civilians.

They should both be held accountable for their actions.

They should BOTH be punished by the international community through legal methods.

The only people who deserve respect, fairness, support, help, defense, are the innocent civilians in Gaza who have been consistently assaulted and abused by both Hamas and Israel.

What should happen now is that Israel feels the embarrassment and humiliation for their actions. Nations all over the world should be expelling Israeli ambassadors as a mark of protest. Companies working with Israel should be boycotted globally.

At the same time, the UN should go into Gaza full on, discuss with Hamas, show them that the only way to gain international support and discussion is through being humble and NOT GIVING ISRAEL ANY EXCUSES TO ATTACK.
If they were to pledge to this, they would win the propaganda war globally, and gain more respect as a legitimate leadership.

Hamas need to be shown that the world will no longer stand by while they use their people as a shield. They need to be told that the people in Gaza are the priority, they will be protected even if that means an international force replacing them with an internationally led leadership.

At the same time, Israel needs to be told that they no longer have a free hand in Gaza.
If they attack Gaza again they may face an international assault on their military machine.

All of this should happen.
But what will happen? Nothing.
Israel will be excused, Hamas will remain an unstable force giving Israel an excuse to do what it likes in the eyes of the US.

If any other nation had done what Israel has done, they would face the wrath of global leaders. Why has Israel been given the right to murder innocent people?

This is such a loaded question that is likely to elicit only emotional responses from people who do not understand the history. Take a look at my post, Understanding the Israeli/Palestinian Conflict, for a better understanding of the origin of this conflict. This is not a complete history lesson, merely a Reader's Digest version of why we are where we are regarding ths ongoing conflict. Once you have a better understanding its roots, you will be better equipped to provide an intelligent opinion.

Moving forward... Of course NEITHER side is right. One is guided by religious ideology and the other by political ideology. Can you guess which is which? If you assumed that the Palestinians were guided by religious ideology you got it wrong and have demonstrated the reason "WHY" understanding the roots of the issue become so important.

Too many people assume that Islam is the root cause of this issue that causes the terrorism against Israel. That is the product of prpaganda and media programming. The reality is that over a century of Zionist terrorism against the arabs of the region have lead us down the path we are on today.

The continuing oppression of the Palestinians and their mistreatment by the Israelis will only continue to strengthen their resolve to fight for their freedom and their land. These actions by Israel are only certain to breed countless generations of arab fighters. Don't be mistaken - this is EXACTLY what Israel wants. This provides them with the justification to continue their campaign of genocide against the arabs in the regions where they feel they have a religious claim to the land to form a "Greater Israel".

Truth be told, if Hamas would simply lay down it's weapons and end it's fruitless campaign against Israel, then the world would see, once and for all, the true nature of this conflict and Israel would be taken to task by the governments of the world. Israel would lose it's power of propaganda and would be illuminated as the terroists that they truly are. This would be a brilliant triangulation strategy by Hamas as Israel will not end it's war of aggression in it's campaign to achieve Eratz Ysreal as they believe they are entitled.

There is no right or wrong, as far as i see it. There is a conflict that started in early 20th century when certain Jewish group (aka Zionists) decided that a solution for Jewish problems throughout the history is due to lack of national home , and when certain Arab movements decided that they cannot accept independent Jewish state in no borders on territories of what is considered land of Islam.

From here it starts. The weird thing is that if Zionism was not born as socialist secular movement and Arab world would not be so fundamentalist then no conflict would happen.Majority of religious Jewish movements did not want independent Jewish Israel - just a one country for both nations if it was going to happen.

But it developed as it did. So conflict goes on since 1920s, not since 1948. It gets hotter and colder sometimes but it still the same conflict and even after peace between Israel and Palestinians will be signed the conflict will still remain.

As for those who say that Israeli oppression and occupation caused it - it is wrong. First victims of it were in 1920s. Before state of Israel, before 1948 ,before refugees and before occupation. And to claim that there is genocide of Palestinian population is simply to lie - there is no genocide due to simple fact that the same population grew from hundreds of thousands to almost 5 millions while being under Israeli rule - in Israel proper or in occupied territories, so this "genocide" sticker is only extension of the same conflict used in propaganda war. After 1948 under territories which were under control of Arab forces no Jew remained, from thousands that were there before. On territories under Israeli control - with civilian Arab population thrown out by force by Israel in lot of places, with crimes and murders - still significant part of Arab population remained.
