Moderator SemperFortis would be a good source to contact on this for clarity. He seems to delight in discussing political topics and issues. I recall an incident where he pursued a one sided conversation on politics for at least 30 minutes in a modcast.

Do you have a pointer to that modcast? I'd love to hear it.

Because Ron Paul isn't a part of the dream. Ron Paul is reality, and America isn't ready for reality, it wishes to remain asleep living the dream fed to us in our upbringing about how perfect everything is, these people don't want to be woken up from that dream, they might toss and turn a little bit, but not enough to wake them up, they like living that dream and they will do anything to keep you from destroying it.

all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.
.

People know something isn't right; but voting for REAL change is admitting the dream is just a dream and they won't do that. They will do just enough to say they tried but not enough to actually make real change.

The status quo may be wrong but the status quo is all they know, and they will protect it, they fear change because real change is a gamble, its a gamble that's worth it to those of our thinking, but to most the odds against that gamble are to great, and its much easier to work with what we have got even though its wrong, then to chance it and loose even more.

Real change is scary, Freedom is risky, and both together are something this country hasn't seen in for a long long time, to those living in the dream, real change is the dream.
