How The Grinch Stole Christmas

Absolutely my favorite Xmas movie...and I hate Xmas (just like the Grinch!)

One of Jim Carreys best roles imo...a must see for all fans of Dr Seuss too.

Little Cindy Lou Who is just great too!

o.k.

And in order:

1. National Lampoons Christmas Vacation (I've seen it well over 20 times and seem to laugh just as hard every time)

2. Home Alone ('cause the original IS rather well done and gets one into the spirit)

3. It's A Wonderful Life (season doesn't seem complete without a few tears)

4. Scrooged (do I really need to explain myself..?)

5. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Jim Carrey - good stuff!)

Honorable Mention: Any Single-Cell animation back in the Day...

Fun THread!

1951 Christmas Carol with Alastair Sim.

That is NOT an indication of my age. It's an old one, but my favorite of all the remakes.

I remember watching an old version of "The Little Match Girl" when I was very young with my sister. We have looked for that version in archives for years and have never been able to find that particular version.

A Christmas Story.

You'll shoot your eye out. You'll shoot your eye out.

It... It was.... SOAP... POISON...

Hopefully at least one person here will be familiar with that movie. I loved it so much as a kid, I watched it year around.

P.S. Welcome back and I am glad you're brother will be able to be home for Christmas! That has to be the best gift of all. My brother is in Iraq right now and will also be home for Christmas. Can't wait to see him.

LOL!!! That is my favorite as well. I've watched it a million times and I'll watch it a million more. That is one of the few movies that will always make me laugh no matter how many times I see it.

I really love all xmas movies - big kid at heart
but I like them because the emphasis is not on the commercial aspects of xmas the stories are more about magic - love and family - good things happening to people that deserve it

what puzzles me is the huge amount of thillers, and horror movies they broadcast on german tv on christmas days! to some stations movies like die hard and others like these seem to be the ideal christmas movie! why? i don.t get it! to reduce positive emotions? bah
