how to make a boot disc?

i am using nero 8 and i need to make a boot disc . how should i do this. should i use nero 8 or a different program?

explain in the easiest way possible i have not made too many boot discs.

Well since you didnt state just what you need the boot disk for and/or what OS you need the boot disk for, its gonna be kind of hard to explain anything pertaining to a boot disk.

yes i should clear that up. well i got a windows xp ido. file and i need to put that on a cd. then i need to use that to wipe a current hard drive and replace it with what is on the disc.

Is it an ISO file?

If it is an ISO file you can just burn it with Nero. The ISO file is already setup to be a bootable disc when it is burnt.
