Well to me it seems that life is fairly inconsequential to the universe. Biology at it's most basic fundamental level is just organic chemistry.
Life is a bi-product of the cosmos.
Evolution is driven by mistakes and flaws in a 'program' called DNA. DNA, according to abiogenesis is made (originally) in an environment rich with
organic compounds.
