The Redskins are 17-1 on predicting the winner of the Presidential Election. The one miss being on the 2004 Election when they loss and supposedly
Kerry was going to win. Look like it will be a good game with a lot riding on it, especially if one believe this to be true.
The Redskins, in fact, are an accurate barometer for presidential elections. According to Steve Hirdt of the Elias Sports Bureau, who coined the
term "Redskins Rule" in 2000, the following bromide has held true for the past 17 presidential elections: If the Redskins win their last home game
prior to Election Day, the party that won the popular vote in the previous election wins the White House; if the Redskins lose, the party that lost
the popular vote in the previous election wins.
In this Monday's case, a Steelers win would forecast an Obama victory; a Redskins win would indicate a McCain win.

Another interesting thing is that McCain and Obama will do interviews during the game.
Are you ready for some football?
Which team are you guys going for?
Seriously, does anyone believe that the Presidential Election and the Redskins game are related in any way? Or is it just some kind of superstitious
thing?
Gotta admit 17-1 is a pretty good record.
Mod, Please move if not in right place.
