The Obama campaign has decided to heave out three newspapers from its plane for the final days of its blitz across battleground states -- and all
three endorsed Sen. John McCain for president!
Shades of things to come if Obama is elected President. We are probably headed to some sort of dictatorship under Obama.

Welcome to Pre-WWII Germany.
The reporter in Florida asked REAL questions and she got froze out by Obama and his gang. Same thing for a reporter in Pennsylvania. Now the
newspapers.

Thank God we have folks like you to report on travesties such as this. There is no telling where things could go if we don't have a free and
independant media asking the hard questions and demanding the truth from our elected officials. Democrats always do this while no Repbulican has EVER
denied the free exchange of information. THANK GOD! I'd hate to think I had already missed the start of a Pre WW2 germany here on American soil.

You aren't missing it. You are living it.
I'm sure many of the pre-wwII germans didn't see it coming.
Be afraid. Be very afraid.

The New York Post and Dallas Morning News BOTH OF WHOM ENDORSE OBAMA, have also been "pruned" from the plane in the final days.
Oh look! A sensible reason!
"Unfortunately, demand for seats on the plane during this final weekend has far exceeded supply, and because of logistical issues we made the
decision not to add a second plane. This means we've had to make hard and unpleasant for all concerned decisions about limiting some news
organizations and in some cases not being in a position to offer space to news organizations altogether," wrote Obama campaign Senior Advisor and
Chief Communications Officer Anita Dunn in an e-mail.
"There are simply no more seats on Senator Obama's plane," she added. "There are press seats available on Senator Bidens plane for travel this
final weekend and The Washington Times is encouraged to include our vice presidential nominee in your coverage plans for this final stretch."

Since I am relatively new, I might have missed it on ATS...but, was there any outrage when McCain and Palin kicked members of the Press of their
planes?

Anyone else from Britain will no doubt have done a double take when they saw the words "tossed off Obama" in succession.

Many journalists have been blacklisted by the McCain campaign. Most progressives don't waste a lot of brain time with Drudge and other hatemongers. I
see nothing but death throws from the desperate here.

Thought this was related.....seems like POLITICIANS don't like to be criticized.....
McCain aide: Reporters ‘have to earn’ special interview area seat on new ’straight talk’ airplane.
The Washington Post reports that Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) is now traveling in a new “Straight Talk Express” campaign airplane. It “features a
special area” with “a couch and two captain’s chairs” where “McCain will conduct group interviews with the press.” But not all reporters
covering McCain can enjoy this new lap of luxury. Top McCain aide Mark Salter said “‘only the good reporters’ would get to sit in the
specially-configured section for interviews. ‘You’ll have to earn it,’ he said.” So how can these reporters “earn” a seat? Never challenge
the Senator, as McCain biographer Matt Welch explained in a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times:
[McCain is] very open to people. You can come on the bus, everything is great but if he knows or if his team knows that you have a hostile line
of questioning or you have a long and well documented critique, they’re not going to talk to you. […]
As a human, he’s haunted by the notion of honesty and about honor and truth. He wishes that he could speak the truth all the time. He doesn’t.
I don’t think he speaks the truth any more than any other politician really, no more, no less.
I saw a few posters in the other thread were comparing the Obama campaign to the Germans preceding WW2, and wanted to dispel that myth...
This is nothing more than a politician making room for different (possibly more favorable) reporters.

Has no one taken the time to notice the reason for the press shuffle? Apparently, the need to make room for reporters from higher-circulation sources,
as well as a documentary film crew.
One can imagine there is a finite space aboard a passenger aircraft, and that, when faced with a decision of who to remove, supporters of your
opponent would certainly be at the top of anyone's logical list.

Obama spokesman Bill Burton confirms Drudge's report that two right-leaning papers, the Washington Times and the New York Post, have lost their
seats on the Obama plane, along with the Dallas Morning News.

Foxnews is well known compared to other newspaper organizations. Foxnews has a bigger influence and resources to do something if Obama camp were to
kick them off. Dallas Morning News is just Dallas.

BH, I don't know where you got your information but the Dallas Morning News endorsed McCain. I know this for a fact because I take that paper
and I get to read the liberals whining every day in the letters to the editor about how the paper could endorse McCain over "The Messiah".
www.drudge.com...
Oh, and to correct you twice in one post, the New York Post also appears to have endorsed McCain as well:

Oh look, another non-response from BH when she was called out on posting disinformation in favor on Barack Obama. First the post on Obama's pledge to
which I responded to her and have not yet received a response and now this. At least when I mess up I have the good manners to admit it.

I agree that there is a reason but the idea that three 'conservative' reporters got the boot over say 2 and 1 liberal is what concerns me.
Especially when it is 3 of the reporters that seem to ask the hardest questions. This stinks of convenience to me.
Nazi Germany? No. Socialism? No.
Just a convenient way to trim the opposition fat. It's not exactly like the 'conservatives' have never done this. *cough*

Talk about overreaction on this thread.
Pre-WWII? Really? You want to compare Obama to Hitler? Unreal. Palin won't, or can't, answer questions like, "What newspaper do you read?",
but Obama has to take biased reporters on tour with him?
I think candidates should answer all questions posed at them, but perhaps they were being to aggressive? Who knows?
More importantly, why is this a big deal, but when it happens to your party, they are just responding to the "liberal, drive-by, gotcha
media"?
Hypocrites.
