TERRORISM: Israel to turn its sights on the terrorists surrounding Yasser Arafat

According to Senior Officials, and Israeli Intelligence, a group of men wanted for planning suicide bombings and the murder of settlers, are being sheltered in a compound known as Mukata.

According to senior officials, a growing band of men wanted on suspicion of planning suicide bombings and murdering settlers is being sheltered in the compound, known as the Mukata. The evidence that Mr Arafat, 74, is at the apex of a terrorist infrastructure is being used by some Israeli ministers to argue that he should be killed in an air strike, as Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, the spiritual leader of the Hamas terror group, was last week.

Is Arafat the next target?

Well, since the original post we've already seen what Israel is willing to do. Arafat is extremely paranoid and has expelled a group from the compound that been responsible for the bombing planning. Three thoughts come to mind at this point; (1) How many assasinations will Israel carry out? (2) How much more widespread will the Arab violence grow? and (3) Can there ever be peace between Israel and the Palestinians as long as Arafat and Sharon are still alive?
