GOP should be Defeated This Year

This is something I'm posting for a couple of reasons.

1) I'll admit it - I'm a Republican. Oh well. I want to see what the readership here thinks about what this guy wrote and where you all stand in terms of the political house.

Should the GOP be defeated and removed from US control this year or not?

Provide me some reasons why or why not.

after reading that article, I can only say that it would be the classic "throwing out the baby with the bathwater"
The writer is going to extremes in their solution.
these guys did some very bad things, so let's just destroy the entire system by turning it totally socialistic.
Obama, Pelosi, and Reid - the unholy trinity - and if there is a supermajority - kiss this place goodbye.
I would only suggest that for once people do some research into the candidates further down on the ballet also.

Does it really matter? The Democrats are just as bad as the Republicans. The nation being under the control of only two parties is the main problem with the US.

In a way I agree with you.

What is the solution, though? What can or should the US do to remedy that situation?

As a conservative, I think the Republican Party should lose. As a conservative, I have a choice between a part-time liberal and a full-time socialist. Not much of a choice.

Right after the "Contract with America" by Newt Gingrich, they reduced spending and taxes, and Bill Clinton enjoyed eight years of a booming economy, and of course took full credit.

Then the Republicans had no leadership, no core standards, and out-Democrated the Democrats!

Maybe after they sit out a few terms they'll get their soul back.
