Most Muslims are cautions in their pronunciations, nor would I dare to claim to speak for all Mulsims. Therefore it would be more than foolish for anyone to suggest that the current crisis in any way heralds the destruction of the western economies

This is good article that in some ways really does put things into perspective. The west has indeed been behaving in a way that suggest that there is attitude that their own culture is unfalible-I am interested myself in whether in the wake of this crisis the west will explore alternate forms of banking.

...and why not? Surely if people listened to the nay sayers rather than taking the gamblers whom run the casino's word for things we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place
