I love meat, too. I'll never give it up. I don't want my descendants to eat only veggies and have their dna to be inferiorly twisted by tofu. No thanks.

Besides, meat consumption will decrease because of global deppresion, anyway. Thank you, Jewish banksters!

I'm sorry, but what? We, regular Joe's have to quit eating meat often?

What about the mega stores that leave many, many pounds of the stuff laying out back to rot because they couldn't sell it? Maybe they should be jumping on mega stores like Super Wal-Marts and such who often leave tons of the stuff out back to be thrown away?

Now that seems like a waste!

Yet, we the regular people, are squarely the ones to blame.

Peace,
FK

Ok ... so the question I ask is what do you think constitutes an infringement on some ones basic rights?

Would you agree that two of a humans basic rights are:

Enough food for at least 3 meals a day.

Enough water to drink at least 1 litre per day and to keep oneself clean

The stats for the farming of beef are:

Cattle consume 70% of the worlds grain.

1 pound of beef uses more water than 1 person showering for a whole year.

Our consumption of beef is contributing to global water shortages. In some areas this is taking away a humans basic right to water.

Our consumption of beef reduces the amount of food stuff available for aid. By allocating the majority of the worlds grain to beef production decreases the amount of grain that could be used to relieve famine therefore taking away humans basic right to food.

Beef is a luxury that we take for granted.

We are willing to sacrifice the rights of other humans because beef "taste's good!" Alot of yall out there have said this.

This aint some greeny tree huggin BS ... You know, burdman, that these are facts.

So I guess it comes down to how honest you are about your concern with others basic human rights and what are you really willing to sacrifice yourself for other humans ... humans outside of your family unit.

I am absolutely dumbfounded at how many people continue to buy into the myth of Global Warming. Even more troubling is seeing it continue to be used as a tool for mass control & coerced behavioral change.

So what your saying is that the giant icebergs are melting and making sea levels rise because its cold? Yeah global warming what fraud.

I wonder if opinions will change when the human population hits 10 billion and the amazon is a huge dust bowl. Probably not, it will most likely be blamed on zionists or muslims or someone else.

Enjoy your rights to eat whatever you want now, unfortunately it isn't even an inalienable right to live, let alone eat. Anyone who has lived through a famine can tell you that.

Thank you Merriman Weir for a voice of sanity.

It's interesting that people would say that deforestation of the amazon is directly attributed to livestock farming.

What they fail to mention is the explosion of the soybean crops which is ensuring the destruction of the forest even faster than before.

So, it doesn't matter WHAT you eat, someone is going to cut down the amazon to capitalize on it.

ANyway, I'm one of those that MUST eat meat. Not chicken, turkey, pork, or fish. Honest to goodness RED MEAT. Anything else just screws up my blood sugar..

ANd I only also eat vegetables, (the non-sugar kind), berries, and nuts.

I will die without meat.

BTW, wasn't there an article recently that had a study that showed that vegetarian/vegan brains actually shrink?

this is just rehashing old news...

you either 'choose' to beleive or not to beleive in global warming and so be it...... its a free world and nobody is forcing you to be kind to this planet (or to not eat meat). they are giving you options to help with this mess we humans have made and its your choice wether or not to contribute.

if you want to go along with your life driving a oil guzzling 4wd, wasting water and eating all the red meat possible....then do so. just dont rant and rave and say that they are trying to 'control' you because thats rubbish.

you are controlled every day of your life with less minor things than global warming..... ever ordered a big fat juicy pizza after watching a domino's add on t.v or brought a newspaper for that matter? hhhhmmm

you have options in life....its your karma alone.

Nah, the frogs in the pan will still say everything is cozy - its how slow change works. Keeps things appearing OK, and no one feels the need to change anything. What global warming? It's just the pot getting warmer like it always does!

Sure, entire ice shelf's are breaking off, the ecology of the world is changing rapidly, the weather is frequently more violent and inconsistent than it has been and what sustains us today is both causing impact or in decline because of this impact - but meh, it's those left wing zionist whingers that are just being noisy. I'm gunna cook my cow and thumb my nose at my childrens future.

What I want to know is, even given the fact global warming may just a natural cycle, does this mean *WE* still do not have to change with it in order to acclimatize? Are we that damn arrogant?

Surely *WE* must adjust to the change. We're not that capable, as a species, of surviving even the most remotely hostile environments.

All these goons yelling and calling people names about GW being a joke, make me shake my head.

"Hey I have termites, hyuk, they're no problem, they're so small and natural. Hyuk hyuk..."

"Hey My house just fell down... Who's gunna pay for me to fix me a new one?"

For a site full of free-thinking individuals, it seems a lot of you have been pretty well brainwashed by the meat & dairy industries. I definitely try not to believe everything I read on the internet, but the studies and proof are pretty compelling:

"American women have been consuming an average of two pounds of milk per day for their entire lives, yet thirty million American women have osteoporosis. Drinking milk does not prevent bone loss. Bone loss is accelerated by ingesting too much protein, and milk has been called "liquid meat.""

"Studies have shown that vegetarians absorb and retain more calcium from foods than do nonvegetarians. Vegetable greens such as spinach, kale and broccoli, and some legumes and soybean products are good sources of calcium from plants."

"Good bone density attained by the age of 18-25 usually lasts a lifetime for people who consume a balanced plant-based diet and remain physically active. The problem with milk and other dairy products is that they are not only rich in calcium but they are also high in protein, which has been shown to create calcium loss through the urinary tract."

Making sure your kids get their milk? I advise everyone I know against it. It's a leading cause of asthma in children, it blocks the absorption of protein, and it is just natural common sense that MILK IS FOR BABIES[/B].

FYI ---

my natural diet just.. naturally consists of a modest portion of meat 4 times a week and no more than a litre of milk a week, INCLUDING cheese products.

i eat alot of breads, grains, oats, pastas, rice, some veggies like broccoli and corn and .. peas, and carrots, and beans..

..and cashews, and peanuts, and sunflower seeds, and macadamia nuts, and pistachios?

I bet my diet is WAYYYYY (x100!) healthier than 80% of my fellow Americans.

and im being modest, really.

so do not fear this, it is good for you!

Sorry to double post, but i cant stress this enough people ..

You wanna have a good life? You wanna be energetic and clear headed?

You wanna be thin and healthy? or thin down a little? maybe get some muscles and get fit? Build your stamina maybe?

Or maybe you just .. dont want to die at an early age from all the crap in these foods, all the poisons and toxins and additives in the food and drinks that contribute to multiple diseases over time.

We look at generations passed, how our grandparents and uncles and fathers and so forth died from heart failures, from diabetes, from cancer, from heart attacks, they got mental disorders commonly, like alzheimers, or maybe nerve disorders like parkinsons. Needless to say, back in their day, the companies that made all of the foods and products were MUCH LESS overseen by the Federal Regulations. Not that we can trust the Feds, but it is true that today's crappy food is healthier in the sense that there is less fat and cholesterol than the fat-back bacon breakfasts and big fat pork chop dinners of the golden era of america. There's just other.. poisons in it.

So, do not pass this up .. your entire well-being, your conciousness, the way you feel and perceive, the "you" in the "now" is affected greatly by how you maintain your diet and the foods you take in. Youd be surprised, you get used to living and you think, "this is normal". Never would you have thought it was possible to feel even better than normal, all the time. But by adhering to a diet of sorts.. not to lose weight but for health and longevity, you will experience a whole new LEVEL of "normal", where you feel good all the time.

I completely agree with the general thrust of your post, but I'm not too sure about the part I've quoted. I certainly agree with the idea of the other "poisons" but I'm not sure about there being less fat and cholesterol in what's eaten now due to the differing nature of fats themselves. Whilst trans fats have been in use for a long time, certainly before most people on this board were alive, it's only the last couple of decades that they've become as widespread as they are.

Yes, people are eating leaner meats &c, but people, generally, are also eating far more foods containing trans fats &c. I'm 40-years-old and live in England and I'm acutely aware of the way junk, 'snack' and convenience foods (all major sources of trans fats) have dominated our supermarkets over the last couple of decades.

Of course, NWO's real. Father Bush has said so. Vicente Fox has said so that there will be an Amero. Lou Dobbs has said so that there might be an NAU. The BBC has said so that massive forced sterilization by the WHO occured and is occuring still in Asia and Latin America.

hey, if we decrease the population of the earth by one half....we get 8 portions of meat/wk??

what in the world does the amount of meat and milk I eat have to do with global warming??
ya, the industry produces greenhouse gases, but so doesn't every other industry...how about it we start off just not buying crap we really don't need and work our way up to this one?

Reading this has finally been the nail in the coffin of my consumption of beef. I'm sure I'll still indulge occasionally, but seriously the beef industry is a disgusting shame.

I remember a thread here where there was a huge outcry over a posted photo of an African child crawling away from a buzzard. I'll have a hard time not thinking of those children when I see red meat from now on.

and have the sea levels risen?

how did you come to that conclusion?

How the UN Falsifies Data on Rising Sea Levels

According to Al Gore and his acolytes at the UN's hyperpoliticized Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), we will soon need to abandon civilization and head for the hills, because the sea is rising up to wash us all away. Like most everything else having to do with the global warming hoax, this is a lie, as helpfully explained by sea-level specialist Nils-Axel Mörner, the head of the Paleogeophysics and Geodynamics department at Stockholm University.

One way we determine if sea levels are really rising is by measuring the speed of the Earth's rotation. Rising sea levels would increase the Earth's radius, thereby slowing it down. This method confirms a measurement of not more than 1.1 millimeters per year, which has been going on for ages. There is no trend of an increased rate in the rise of sea levels. So the UN's global warming hoaxers created one.

First, they chose a Hong Kong tide gauge which helpfully gave them a 2.3 mm per year reading, thanks to the fact that Hong Kong is subsiding due to compaction of sediment.

This 2.3-mm rate was then confirmed by satellite data, with the help of a "correction factor." Mörner was outraged:

Then, in 2003, the same data set, which in their (IPCC's) publications, in their website, was a straight line — suddenly it changed, and showed a very strong line of uplift, 2.3 mm per year, the same as from the tide gauge. And that didn't look so nice. It looked as though they had recorded something; but they hadn't recorded anything. It was the original one which they had suddenly twisted up, because they entered a "correction factor," which they took from the tide gauge. So it was not a measured thing, but a figure introduced from outside. I accused them of this at the Academy of Sciences in Moscow — I said you have introduced factors from outside; it's not a measurement. It looks like it is measured from the satellite, but you don't say what really happened. And they answered, that we had to do it, because otherwise we would not have gotten any trend!

That is terrible! As a matter of fact, it is a falsification of the data set. Why? Because they know the answer. And there you come to the point: They "know" the answer; the rest of us, we are searching for the answer. Because we are field geologists; they are computer scientists. So all this talk that sea level is rising, this stems from the computer modeling, not from observations. The observations don't find it!

Welcome to the new science of political correctness, where first you decide what the data needs to say, then you go out and find it.

Claim That Sea Level Is Rising Is a Total Fraud
