Poll: Martial law - do you believe it or not?

As the title states I wanna run a poll and see what the general thought is about the U.S. coming into Martial Law within the near future. If you think we will see martiall law please add what you are doing to try to stop it or encourage it. If you don't think it will happen please add why you think it wont. At the end of my work week (Friday Oct. 3, 2008 5:00 p.m. central) I will add the votes up and post the results. Please respond with.....

Reason: there is so much info out and a lot of info we don't know that I don't want to make a decision at this time. Although I do have my escape route out of the country all ready tested and prepared.

Honestly i think by all these posts and this paranoia that people WANT it to happen. You guys have attached yourselves to this belief and will be damned if it doesn't come true so it seems. Just be happy you are alive today and wake up tomorrow. Stop being so afraid of the future.

I agree with you to a point. Basically I see it as if we keep pushing the subject then eventually it will manifest itself. Although I don't completely agree that people want it to happen.

But this is just a poll not really a debate. As you stated there are plenty of threads for people to debate whether or not it is going to happen. I just want to find out what the general thought is. Basically Yes it will happen or No it wont. Thank you for your response I am putting you down as B.) No, I think it wont happen....

What is there to believe or not to believe? we are living under martial law.

Can you back this up with links of some sort? As far as I know the military hasn't been patrolling my streets. Also the four years I spent in the Army there was never a mention of martial law.

This was the first Executive Order (which is why we have executive orders) and it has not been rescinded.

I'll have to read over it more closely when I get home tonight, but from what I was able to skim over it looks like a set of instructions more then a declaration. i.e INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF ARMIES OF THE UNITED STATES IN THE FIELD (sorry for caps copy/paste job). Now I am not saying your wrong, but I didn't see anything specifically saying the U.S. is under martial law as we speak. As I said before there are no military roaming the streets and it was never mentioned when I was in the military and I was a 96B Intel analyst. Don't get me wrong I am not saying your wrong =).

edit: I also wanted to point out the it is general order no. 100. There doesn't seem to be a mention of an Executive Order, but then I am not finished reading it yet. Have you read it?

I don't think it will happen in the near future, with the exceptions being if there is another terrorist attack, or mass civil unrest.

I believe this for two reasons. One, there is no reason to yet. Chaos in the streets would be a reason, but why disrupt the system of worker bees going to their jobs, buying beer, and watching reality TV. As long as we are still working, paying our taxes, and being good little consumers TPTB are still making their money and are still in control.

The second reason is that I just don't want to think it will happen soon. I am having a "Secret" moment, and will wish it so.

So put me down as a no.

Simply too much evidence. This has been in the script for too long. If you want more of a reason, there are many threads here that blatantly smack you in the face with the truth.

I also know part of my personal mission in this incarnation is to help lead people to the new era of existence here on Earth. That era is comprised of bad times to begin with great times to follow.

You can put me down as a "no" vote. Unless there is some rather major chaos (big disaster, terror attack, etc) I just don't see it.
I guess time will tell, though...who knows what tomorrow will bring.

No: there will not be nationalized martial law.
Yes: at some point you will see it but localized as a response to major natural or terrorism event.

National Police Force and Socialism FTW!!!!!!!!! I am kidding of course... Although I think socialism isnt a bad idea... ANYWAYS I doubt these FEMA camps are built to concentrate Americans in them for nothing and kill them... Our population of incarcerated Americans are skyrocketing by nearly 10,000 a week... So were running out of room naturally... Just going to put them in portable cells... They are not going to come to your house and round up your family and throw you in a camp like the Nazis....

martial law has been declared many times. So yes i believe that it can and will happen again on a local level.

of course though, I am sure you are not talking about that kind of martial law. you are talking about alex jones martial law.
