AIKEN, S.C.- A former Aiken County deputy is accused of hitting a teen in the neck.

The Aiken County Sheriff's Office and SLED charged Jeffrey Nation, 40 of Aiken, with assault and battery and misconduct in office on Tuesday.

The sheriff's office tells NBC Augusta Nation struck Lorenzo Williams, Jr., 18 of New Ellenton, in the throat while he was conducting a field interview.
