Biologists On The Verge Of Creating New Life Form

By doing "something useful" for the cell, these genes would launch the new form of life down the Darwinian evolutionary path similar to the one that our oldest living ancestors must have traveled. Though where selective pressure will lead the new form of life is impossible to know.

Well, this brings forth MANY questions to say the least. This may be seen as exciting to some, yet absolutely terrifying to others. Are we attempting to play God? Or are we simply attempting to gain knowledge of life as we know it?

I think its exciting, and it was bound to happen. If humans have the potential to become god-like then why not? If we don't kill destroy ourselves it'll be worth it.
