Lyrics to Handlebars :
I can ride my bike with no handlebars
No handlebars
No handlebars

I can ride my bike with no handlebars
No handlebars
No handlebars

Look at me, look at me
hands in the air like it's good to be
ALIVE
and I'm a famous rapper
even when the paths're all crookedy
I can show you how to do-si-do
I can show you how to scratch a record
I can take apart the remote control
And I can almost put it back together
I can tie a knot in a cherry stem
I can tell you about Leif Ericson
I know all the words to "De Colores"
And "I'm Proud to be an American"
Me and my friend saw a platypus
Me and my friend made a comic book
And guess how long it took
I can do anything that I want cuz, look:

I can keep rhythm with no metronome
No metronome
No metronome

I can see your face on the telephone
On the telephone
On the telephone

Look at me
Look at me
Just called to say that it's good to be
ALIVE
In such a small world
All curled up with a book to read
I can make money open up a thrift store
I can make a living off a magazine
I can design an engine sixty four
Miles to a gallon of gasoline
I can make new antibiotics
I can make computers survive aquatic conditions
I know how to run a business
And I can make you wanna buy a product
Movers shakers and producers
Me and my friends understand the future
I see the strings that control the systems
I can do anything with no assistance
I can lead a nation with a microphone
With a microphone
With a microphone
I can split the atoms of a molecule
Of a molecule
Of a molecule

Look at me
Look at me
Driving and I won't stop
And it feels so good to be
Alive and on top
My reach is global
My tower secure
My cause is noble
My power is pure
I can hand out a million vaccinations
Or let'em all die in exasperation
Have'em all grilled leavin lacerations
Have'em all killed by assassination
I can make anybody go to prison
Just because I don't like'em and
I can do anything with no permission
I have it all under my command
I can guide a missile by satellite
By satellite
By satellite
and I can hit a target through a telescope
Through a telescope
Through a telescope
and I can end the planet in a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust

I can ride my bike with no handlebars
No handle bars
No handlebars

I can ride my bike with no handlebars
No handlebars
No handlebars

I think this song reffers to the condition of todays superpowers (mainly America)
it is talking about all the capabilities and corruptness of todays' societies.
the good and the bad.

I think it's a simple song about how power corrupts. He starts off talking about how he can do innocent things like ride his bike with no handlebars. But that's before he has gotten powerful, or even thought about becoming powerful. Then he gains power, and he starts talking about how he could take away people's rights if he wanted to, but he still sprinkles in some innocent things to show that he hasn't been fully corrupted yet. But later, when he does become 100% corrupt, he starts oppressing the people he rules over because he feels that they are lesser beings than himself.

I think it's about the loss of innocence, and the "selling out" that occurs when one gains power. Which is kinda of funny because many of their old fans think they "sold out" when this song became popular.

Nope.. NWO is a catch phrase to describe practical and normal political proceedings that one does not understand. It's easier, you see, to just say "ah it's dem NWOers again makin a ruccus!"

The song describes the growing power of a person, who can go from riding a bike with no handle bars to being the most powerful person in the World (US President) and having the ability at a whim to end the World.

Flobots (of which I like some of their songs, I had this song in my Sig for a while) are a far left leaning Liberal rap group .. anti Capitalist, pro Socialist and anti Republican.

My favorite song though is "there is a war for your mind" .. short but true.

im new to this nwo stuff and to this site
its the final verses tat made me think
i thaught it was almost like saying for the nwo or the goverments to end the world would be as easy as a chlid learning to ride a bike with no hands

Flobots explain the shift in higher conscious that is going on right now.
