I think this is a good way to describe, especially, the past 24 hours in American politics.

No one is immune.

Between campaign trail gaffes and the media spin of said gaffes, no one is focusing on the issues.

BTW, what are the issues??? Does anyone remember anymore?

Lipstick, pit bulls, pigs, old fish, newspaper, forgetting a man is in a wheelchair and can't stand up..... And, we have things like this that one of our elected officials is saying on the House floor......

What was he thinking???

Has this syndrome gotten worse lately or am I just imagining things??
