The Bell was supposed to have been hung inside the Henge with big cables running underneath to an adjacent power station/Generator. The Bell had a radioactive isotope inside 2 spinning drums inside it that spun is opposing directions which when magnetically charged gave off an unknown emination that caused organic matter to disintegrate into a black oozing liquid after exposure.

These aren't my words but speculation by the one and only Joseph P Farrell in 2 of his books, Reich of the Black Sun and Brother Hood of the Bell.
