What are orbs?

I might have seen one. I looked up at the sky during the day one time and I saw something that looked really bright and it looked like it was filled with energy then I looked away and it wasn't there. Could what I have seen been an orb?

Thanks. I think that it resembled fire. Are there other people that see things like I have described?

Simply put, orbs are the bicycles of the spirit/alien world, great for small parties going short distances.
