I'm entering college. I'm about to start my first year. I love to read. I never really was much of a reader until last year... but I just found the book I read to be completely offensive. I can understand why I was asked to read it but I didn't like what was said.

I don't know what to tell you, then. I've had to read lots of things I found to be "offensive" through my education... that's just life. If anything, just consider it a rounder education-- you'll be better able to discuss the topic, i fyou see the other side of it.
