A Mexican security firm has developed a microchip that allows satellites to help locate kidnap victims.

Sales of the chip which is implanted under the skin have increased by 13% in the past year, as kidnap rates soar in Mexico. Duncan Kennedy reports.

looks like mexico is using the chips to fight kidnappings
not supprising with the amount that happens there and how people opt to travel (in armored cars)

4k and then 2k a year to keep ones child safe
not that the average person could use this.

but then again wounder how long these last (before they die)
or would this mean they are human transmiters for the rest of their lifes?
