Scientists at the UK's University Of Reading have apparently succeeded in creating a robot with a biological brain...

...made up of some 300,000 neurons taken from the neural cortex of a rat fetus, which are contained in multi electrode array that packs 60 electrodes to pick up the signals generated by the cells and, in turn, control the robot.

Apparently the purpose is to study disorders like Alzheimer's, but this is pretty scary imo. What happens when we decide to put a human brain into a robot body? Immortality, possible???

sorry if this has been posted already, btw.
