Is this a different shot of the famous "parachute" again? Last time it was in whit now it has a "orange glow" but could be false colour.

Internos, any idea?

Original photo:Nasa site

It's on 25% of from the left from the picture about 10% from the top (sorry not to good on cutting and pasting)

the discussion on the first "sighting" is on:Mars anomalies

do you think it is the same?

Hi saturnus1962, and thanks for sharing

Yes, it's the back shell (even if i can't spot the parachute): it's location doesn't leave doubts about it, this is what we see in the image:

But don't forget that there's still this one to explain:

this was located in the opposite direction of the back shell (see red arrow in the first image):

Basically, this is the back shell, located at approx. 158°

while this one

was located at approx 358°, in the opposite direction (see green arrow in the image below):

Red arrow = direction of bounce mark + heat shield
White line = direction of back shell + parachute
Green arrow = unexplained object

So, basically, we should look between 356° and 359° if we want to try to spot it again: don't know if it was an actual object or some image artifact: what i know for sure is that in according to the data provided by NASA itselfs it can't be neither the heat shield nor the back shell.
