Georgia 'under attack' as Russian tanks roll in

"All day today, they've been bombing Georgia from numerous warplanes and specifically targeting (the) civilian population, and we have scores of wounded and dead among (the) civilian population all around the country," President Mikhail Saakashvili told CNN in an exclusive interview.

"This is the worst nightmare one can encounter," he said.

Asked whether Georgia and Russia were now at war, he said, "My country is in self-defense against Russian aggression. Russian troops invaded Georgia."

omfg... ITS THE OLYMPICS... CMON, PEOPLE REALLY NEED TO SHOW SOME RESPECT.

This could be because of the 2 Russian planes that Georgia shot down.

I think this is covered by another thread, but that is only the 'threat', this is covering the offical war.

Well, they had this coming, did you see in that article that reuters had reports of 'ethnic cleansing by Russian troops'! Horrible

So, Mods, might want to clear it up.

If you play with fire, you'll more than likely get burned. Why cry foul now after they clearly provoked the attack?

But it's the Olympics...

It is Georgia's fault.
Actually I'm guessing that Georgia's exploiting the Olympics to gain what they want from Russia. Tibetans are pressuring the Chinese government more nowadays.
