NASA CONFIRMS LIQUID LAKE ON SATURN MOON

www.nasa.gov

NASA scientists have concluded that at least one of the large lakes observed on Saturn's moon Titan contains liquid hydrocarbons, and have positively identified the presence of ethane. This makes Titan the only body in our solar system beyond Earth known to have liquid on its surface.

Yep... must have been teeming with plants & dinosaurs to produce all that hydrocarbon, huh? Another chink in the biotic oil armor.

I wonder what they mean by wording it contains liquid hydrocarbons as apposed to what it is(its makeup).

Well it probably means its a lake of +/-1000 degrees liquid that if a human went near they would explode. But hey its still liquid, right?

If the world remains reliant on fossil fuels, how much of a consideration would be given to develop an unmanned/manned space-tanker fleet in the near future? What hurdles of complexity and creativeness would engineers propose? Would robots suffice in the extraction? Remote control would be difficult to immprobable.

Interesting. Didnt realize this....but if it's been around awhile, why are they just now sending press releases?

What I find amazing is how did hydrocarbons get on that moon when here on Earth all hydrocarbons supposedly came from dead plant and animal matter.

I dont think that can happen, at least not yet. Its not very cost efficent, unless we can travel there and back in a couple of days. Also, like you said, they couldnt be remote controlled, cuz the delay would suck.

It may be a good idea, but it wont happen anytime soon

It's proof that hydrocarbons are abiotic and shoots the peak oil theory squarely in the foot. Of course the vast majority of people are too damn stupid to realize this so it was decided that this wasn't a major threat to disclose via the MSM. Those of us who have been saying oil isn't from a biological source have been using this moon and her lakes of methane for some years now as proof.
