I was looking to participate in the collaborative writing forum so I sent a couple of U2Us to worldwatcher last week requesting writer status as per this thread:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

I have not yet heard anything back so I was just wondering if you are still doing that or if there are any other qualifications I need to know about.

Thanks

worldwatcher, Masqua, Spiderj, intrepid. are all the moderators you can contact to get your writers status and get writing.

Look forward to reading your stuff

You have been issued the status of "Writer".

Best of luck with your contributions to the Collaborative Writing forum.

OK, thank you for the quick response.

I'm just the opposite..........

I want my "Writer" title removed and returned to "Member".
I have no qualifications as a writer and don't intend to participate in any "Writer's Forum".

I do my own thing on the boards and don't want any specific classification.

Not sure how it happened... I was "Writer" at one time, and now I am "Fighter." What does all this mean and why have I been thusly labeled...?

The term, "fighter" refers to those who participate in debates here at ATS. The writer tag is for those who participate in the writers forum, (short stories, poetry, etc.)

I'm not sure why that would have changed unless you participated in a debate here and stopped participating in the writers forum.

Hope that answers your question.

Ah, thanks. [smile] Yes, I was in a debate, and will likely be in one again. Though I am unsure how I would up with writer at one time... I have written a bunch of stuff, but not for ATS. [shrug]

May I have an writer status, please? So I can "doff off" the old collar and make a pride filled sound like "Phmorph."

Pathetic.

Chissler please shoot me in the head.

*bump dis thang*

Jumping through the flaming ATS hoops, I put in a request 9 days ago to worldwatcher for Writer status and the U2U has not even been read. *sigh*

And why would anyone that calls themselves "worldwatcher" not even come here to read U2U's?

Anyone out there willing to help out an old war hero?

Hmph. Why don't you do what the rest of us in 2010 do, EU, and submit a short story in a writer's contest? Masqua's our leader, and he's way kewl.

I bet you would even win, or something.

I would really like the writer status, as I have so much to share...

Got a lot of poems and songs to express!

Typically, writer's contests are frequent, often once a month. Sometimes it bodes well to nudge a gentle elbow in Masqua's ribs.

These are usually posted in the writer's forum. (See boards).
I haven't looked lately, so I'm not sure.

Anyway, I didn't think any more was required than to not be a troll (questionable in my case
) and to be an established member.

Yes, we have-a no short stories today.

Well, nudge da boss. Or maybe, just maybe if you asked really nicely...
I've seen it done. Boom! Writer's Status.

I had to actually write for mine.

I got it from here (which is at the link at the beginning of this thread):

Want To Be A Writer ?? Please Read.

a) Have been a member here at ATS for atleast a month.

b) Have posted regularly in that time.

c) Have not spammed or trolled the board in the past.

Ahhhh! I had no idea, thanks.

If that's the case, I would u2u Masqua. Do you want to write in one of the collaborative threads? I know he does it for that......

I would do it instantly EU, if I only had the powah....

ETA: You too, Freq!
