PARIS: The prosecutor at the International Criminal Court formally requested an arrest warrant on Monday for Sudan's president, Omar Hassan al-Bashir, on charges of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity committed during the last five years of bloodshed in the Darfur region of his country.

Well at last some action from the internatonal comunnity in this situation. Hopefully the annoucement of charges would make way for countries to figure out a way top remove Bashir and bring peace and hope to that region.

OK, so who does the International Criminal Court use for law enforcement? Would this fall to the UN? I'm glad for the formal recognition but still have my doubts as to anything actually being done about it.

I think what this would do is to speed up the process and put pressure on other countries to take action much to the liking of what happen in the Kosovo situation in 1999.
