Traditionally, metaphysics refers to the branch of philosophy that attempts to understand the fundamental nature of all reality. There are other

That is a good site, some interesting info on there.
From one of my books (philosophy is one of my majors), "metaphysics come from the Greek meta ta physica, meaning "things following physics,"
referring to the order of their presentation in Aristotle's works."
It seems that at times metaphysics and science can be confused. The study of material is science, whereas the speculation about material is
metaphysics.
