SEOUL, South Korea (AP) - North Korea was set to destroy the cooling tower at its main nuclear reactor plant on Friday as a sign of its commitment to stop making plutonium for atomic bombs.
The planned demolition of the 60-foot (20-meter) tall gray tower was a gesture in response to concessions from the US, after the delivered a declaration Thursday of its nuclear programs under an agreement at international arms talks.
