China tightens security, installs missiles near Olympics site

I never seen a country go this far to make sure safety is insured.Would you want to compete knowing those are out there?Just weird.

It makes perfect sense considering the times. Any venue as large as the Olympics would be like a Terrorist magnet. Extreme measures would seem very appropriate.

Factor in how controversial China is and you have "the Perfect Storm" to breed an attempt at a horrific act. I'd think at least an attempt at a 9/11 style event would be more likely than not. Chinese security better act as if this is true.

If you are into J.T. (I am) then it is entirely possible the Olympic's will not happen...
So much happening just now on many unfolding levels.
If I was given free fare and lodging to watch this years Olympic's, sadly I would have to decline.
It is the Tibet debauckle.
I would not feel safe, or comfortable and would not endanger my family.
That they decide to make this dangerous decission, so close to the Olympic's is just a bad idea all around.
