Strangely enough, this issue is hinged more upon the teaching of creationism and intelligent design than the incident of 'tattooing' a cross onto a
student. Apparently the school board let the cross incidents slide and did not bring the issue up again until his curriculum came under fire. I
would think the cross incident to be the more alarming of the two but apparently that was not the way the school board saw it.
Personally, I feel that religious ideologies should be kept out of schools, it's a personal matter which should be deemed as a matter of choice for
students to consider on their own time.
