Iraq War Could Cost Taxpayers $2.7 Trillion: CNN

YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- As the Iraq war continues with no clear end in sight, the cost to taxpayers may balloon to $2.7 trillion by the time the conflict comes to an end, according to Congressional testimony.

In a hearing held by the Joint Economic Committee Thursday, members of Congress heard testimony about the current costs of the war and the future economic fallout from returning soldiers.

Ain't it great? Month after month, americans voice their disapproval of this illegal occupation, and their desire to bring our troops home. And month after month, this criminalistic administration and their co-complicitory, war-profiteering partners in crime---CONGRESS--Keep funding it and okaying billions and billions more of our taxpayer dollars to keep funneling into it. As our nation falls into the economical abyss, all of these criminals just keep on stabbing us all in the back and continue draining the pennies we're trying to scrape up to live right out of our pockets. This system has been totally broken for some time now. Our gov has become a giant mafia, extorting us all to further their agendas and special interests of their elitist puppeteers.

William Beach, director of the Center for Data Analysis, told members of Congress that the Iraq war has already cost taxpayers $646 billion. That's only accounting for five years, and, with the conflict expected to drag on for another five years, the figure is expected to more than quadruple. Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., told members of Congress that the war costs taxpayers about $430 million per day, and called out the Bush Administration.

The thought of all the good that could have been done with that money instead makes me sick to the stomach.

and as huge as $2.7 T is...

It pales in comparison to the destroyed lives, shredded souls and evil unleashed.

Its my belief that's why gas it so high.

The more money the government makes off of the high gas prices, the more money they can funnel out into whatever direction they want.
