Giant Crabs to take over Europe?

For instance, perhaps the Russians brought this type of crab over because they knew it would over populate the area. Are there any instances of introducing new species as a form of "warfare"?

Or, perhaps, the economic implications?

Or, perhaps, what can actually be done against crabs with a 3 foot claw span? Anything that won't kill everything else?

Can any natural enemies be introduced? You get the point...

Yeah, but you'd think it would be the introduction of something that wouldn't be edible then, if that was the case... Heck, let loose some Japanese fishing vessels, and they'll be gone in no time....
