Why must it have to be corrupt? It seems that every government from every developed nation must be corrupt in some way or another. Why can't our government that was made by the founding fathers be perfect?

Power corrupts people, and government is full of people.

It takes a strong willed person to resist the temptations of cash and items that being in a position of power can provide in return for certain favors.

Not to mention bribery's ugly twin, blackmail. Put the two together, and you're bound to have corruption.

It's not just governments either. Businesses, churches, HOAs. Anywhere you have someone with the ability to make someone else do something, you have the potential for corruption.
