4.79 for diesel in the PDX. The biggest single factor of oil being as much as it is is the fact that oil is pegged to the dollar and the value of our dollar is down 60% from 2000. And yes, you can blame baby bush on that one. All of it. Cheney included. This administration and the corporations that truly run this country are leeching us of our wealth.... all of it. Wake the hell up and put an end to the madness. Whatever happened to the 2.3 Trillion dollars that Rumsfeld was going find for his countrymen a week before 911? Why has Bush incurred more debt than ALL of the prior presidents combined. Follow the money and you will find the traitors and enemies of the state. Mobilize NOW people. Spread the message. Prepare for the coming depression.

These prices have galvanised me into finding an alternative to pump prices.

I run diesel and have now found someone locally who will supply biodoiesel
made from waste vegetable oil, he says he will be keeping his prices around 20p below the pump price for fossil diesel.

Currently I am running 50% bio/fossil with no problems and intend to increase that to whatever the car will tolerate comfortably.

The biggest problem to this scenario is finding a supplier closer enough to you to make it financially viable, I was lucky.

I just checked my local Gas station where I live in Germany. Gas is now €1.51 a liter.

There are 3.791 liters in a US Gallon,

The current Exchange rate is :- €1.0 = $1.577

So we are paying about $9.03 for a gallon of gas. Also Diesel is for the first time here the same price as Gas, it used to be always considerably cheaper.

You have to bear in mind that the government tax on fuel accounts for nearly 3/4 of the total price, they are really raking it in.

As usual the people in the lower income brackets are paying thru the teeth while the rich are getting Tax cuts.

We definately need a radical change here. I think we all know what happened here last time people thought it was time for a change.........

It cost me £60.00 ($120 USD) to fill up my Ford Focus with Diesel today at 129.9 per litre.

British truckers have started rolling road blocks on a couple of the UKs motorways to protest.

Hundreds of lorry drivers angry at soaring fuel prices are protesting in London and the along the M4 in Wales.

BBC News

Hopefully this will make a difference but even if it does I can't see it being a significant one
Damn greedy government.

Here in Tucson, AZ United States were are the lowest in the nation shockingly at 3.61 average. Electric is the biggest resource here since my balls are at 103 degrees right now. It is time to put the government in their place.
