Frankly, I loathe inter-species rating - especially if it's done by the one species that doesn't understand even its own members, let alone any other...

But since this feature doesn't really involve "rating" proper - and because awareness of animal intelligence (even though severely limited by faulty, biased observation and interpretation) is still lacking - maybe somebody could find it interesting:

Frightening! Squirrels rank higher than dogs and cats???? I knew it!

Squirrels are dangerous creatures that taunt our pets, I've seen many instances of this myself and have heard stories of them collaborating against a dog or a cat.

Beware the Squirrel! The article flat out confirms they are deceptive.

Oh, I don't think they are ordered according to a rating - at least I haven't noticed it. I don't think the mere order of the pictures should be automatically interpreted as a hierarchy. (Or I wouldn't have posted it AT ALL! )

As for squirrels... I adore the little rascals.
If I told you the things I've seen them do...
There was once a BBC (I think) programme about squirrels, a very good one, called, very appropriately: Daylight Robbery.

Sparrows are a conspicuous omission.
They definitely belong on the list! :-)
