Apparently the Vatican astronomer is saying that it's ok to believe in ETs if your Catholic because they would also be considered creatures of God.

Interesting to see them take a position at all on this subject as it kind of contradicts a lot of the arguments about how the blatant arrival of ETs would affect the followers of the various major religeons. Could they be trying to prepare their faithful for disclosure by telling them this beforehand?
