Blue Cross Blue shield.
It costs me $175.00 per month.

Where does "400 million people" come from? The current US population is only around 300 million. While it's true there may be as many as another
20 million people here illegally which you mentioned, how are you going to force someone who is here illegally to fork over $40 a month? Of the 300
million there are probably less than 150 million who are actually working and earning an income. How do you get $40 a month from people who don't
have any money? So in reality those 150 million will have to pay for it. Using your numbers (400 million X $40 = 1.6 trillion), that would be about
$106 a month from everyone who has the means to pay it. Now, since every government program in history has always cost, at least, 10 times the
original projection, it will really be, at least $1,060 a month from every working person. That's gonna be pretty rough on those folks making $10 an
hour!!!!

I work for the state of MN and have great health insurance with Blue Cross Blue Shield for only $120 a month, thats for the whole family!

why not cover the women and children?

as long as I am working, I have healthcare....
but, well....outside of the healthcare problem, we would have the money we would need without me working. so, I am working for my healthcare.
a nice little physically demanding job where I stand on my feet all day, drag 50 lb boxes of flock across the plant, lift some heavy screens.
sometimes, my foot locks up, and well, when it does, it doesn't support the weight too well. almost fell about three times last week because of
this, but still, I am working, so I can go to the doctor when it does cause me to fall and I break something else.
is it possible that it's the work that is actually making the problem worse? could be....but that's the way it is in america....if you want the
insurance, you will work for an employee you will offer it to ya in their beneifits package, or end up paying some unreasonable price for it. ya
know, I've seen people in much better condition, perfectly capable of doing the work that I am doing, far more capable of it than I am, they are
sitting on their porches all day, watching their kids play on the streets, and maybe doing the same work that I am doing after I get home from my job.
my tax money is paying for their healthcare, they ain't got to drag 50 lb boxes across a floor or lift heavy screens to get it. and they ain't
really making that much less money than we were when I wasn't working. I was left out in the cold then, they still enjoyed their free healthcare
that our taxdollars were pitching in to pay for.
it's unreasonable to think that sick and hurt people will continue to keep working and make their problem worse, just for the priviledge of being
able to continue going to the doctor in hopes that he can make the problem better. and, it's just plain downright unjust to take from a have-not to
give to another, more favored have not.
personally, I don't care how they do it, but those two things really should be changed. it shouldn't cost the family that much more to insure a
stay-at-home mother (or father) than it does the employed person. and, it should be just plain illegal to take the money that one person could be
using to take care of their own healthcare problems, and give it to another, who society would prefer to get it instead. healthcare should be
separated from employment, since sickness is one of the main hinderances to working. and all of the american population should be treated equally by
our government, if two people are truly in need for help with healthcare, then both should get the help, or neither should be offered it!
