Concorde too slow?

It certainly is for British company Reation engines who are aiming for an aircraft capable of reach Australia in 5 hrs.

With speeds up to Mach 8 you you could cross 2 countries in the time it takes to open a pack of those inflight nuts. Having said that with a return ticket in the region of $8000 I daresay you would want more than a few KP roasted and salted cashews.
