I think many here are right. It all comes down to the producers and the editing (I hate the music & sound effects too!). I've heard they have many
more cases then what you see on TV. They film it all and then the producers decide on what airs. And the quality of location does matter.
I am thankful for the show bringing for "ghost" activity to the mainstream. People are not as ashamed to talk about it as they used to be. On the
other hand, some people get obsessed with the show and anytime a light flickers in their home they think it's haunted. Or they decide they want to
hunt ghosts and they go to a haunted location, spend 5mins sitting in the dark, then get fidgety and bored when nothing happens.
I am part of a paranormal group and leaving today to go to a haunted location for the weekend. We sleep on-site and everything, it's pretty fun.
I've been there twice before and had some interesting experiences.
